United Civil, was contracted by Eversource, as the Prime Contractor for the multi-phase/multi discipline upgrade of their Lawrence LNG Facility.

The project included selective demolition of legacy foundations and buildings, replacement of multiple LNG tanks and vaporizer units along with major structural and mechanical LPG system improvements. As add on projects, United Civil has also been awarded the storage facility project, the new cooling fan project, new structural staircase and enclosure project, and a number of existing structural and foundation modifications and improvements for both the facility’s control room and the upgraded LPG system.

In addition to self-performing key civil activities, UC’s Project Team is managing major subcontractors, and key vendors, overall project coordination, quality assurance, administering and enforcing site safety within the active facility.

Throughout the project, UC has provided project leadership and coordination, while interfacing with the LNG Facility Operations team to ensure all activities are communicated and scheduled in advance, avoiding any disruption to daily operations.

The project team has also implemented safeguards to protect Eversource assets and demonstrated their willingness and ability to halt work when conditions change – all of which have been crucial to the successful and safe delivery of the project.
