Community Involvement
We recognize that the infrastructure we build often runs through busy areas where people live, work, and go about their daily routines. We take thoughtful steps to minimize disruption, prioritize public safety, and ensure our presence is considerate. From assisting neighbors across active work zones to helping carry groceries over open trenches, our crews approach every street with care, treating the community as if it were our own.
Philanthropy
Through UC Cares we invest time, resources, and energy into organizations that make a lasting impact on the people they serve, including Special Olympics, Make-A-Wish, local food pantries, medical research foundations, and youth organizations.
Environmental Stewardship
Our teams are trained and experienced in Dig Safe requirements, GPR protocols, and project-specific environmental compliance from erosion and sediment controls to endangered species protections, archaeological site awareness, and invasive species prevention.
Sustainability in Action
Beyond our greenhouse gas emission reduction initiatives, sustainable waste management, recycling and reuse prioritization, water conservation measures, and pollution mitigation practices, we’re also invested in social responsibility programs that advance and support local communities, and prioritize the safety and professional development of our workforce.
Internship & Co-Op Program
United Civil’s co-op program places students directly on active projects alongside experienced project managers, field leaders and clients. You’ll gain hands-on experience from industry experts, learn how complex civil construction actually works, and understand firsthand why building strong professional relationships is just as important as technical skill.
