United Civil served as the Prime Contractor for Central Maine Power’s Buxton STATCOM project, delivering full civil construction support for the development of a new STATCOM station designed to enhance grid reliability.

The scope of work included site balancing, foundation installation, and below-grade electrical infrastructure. United Civil completed the concrete foundations for two STATCOM buildings and executed site fills, road construction, yard stone placement, and final grading of both landscaped and operational areas.

The project also included full site drainage system installation to ensure proper stormwater management. Our project leadership managed multiple key vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality execution of specialized scopes.

UC provided comprehensive coordination and oversight to maintain alignment with schedule, safety, and quality standards. By effectively managing both in-house crews and subcontracted partners, United Civil ensured the successful delivery of all civil components in support of this mission-critical infrastructure project for CMP.
