United Civil was the Prime Contractor for Eversource’s Bourne Station 917 project, providing a full scope of construction services for a new 115kV electrical substation. This was an EPA Construction General Permit project that extended to tight regulation around discharge of stormwater pollutants, fish, and wildlife protection. Erosion and control regulations were in place with daily SWPPP expectations and mitigation where necessary.

Major aspects of the work include site clearing, 60,000 cy of material export, 16’ structural fills, drilled shafts, traditional foundations installation, thermal encased concrete transmission ductbanks, and above grade electrical equipment and components. UC completed this project over a one-year period.
