United Civil was the Prime Contractor on this electrical ductbank and vault installation project for National Grid in Revere, Massachusetts. This project was part of Revere’s major improvement to reshape the downtown area with the addition of the new Suffolk Downs Development.

The construction of the new ductbank system consisted of heavy urban trenching through streets and highly congested intersections through Revere and Winthrop.

To complete the project, UC crews established numerous daily work zones, requiring (4) excavation crews, (1) vault installation crew and (2) conduit installation crews to complete the 3-mile long, (37) vault ductbank system.
