United Civil completed a major civil package for Burns & McDonnell at the Footprint Energy Salem Harbor Power Plant. This $1-Billion natural gas-burning power plant project was under new management since early-2018, and has been fully operational and providing energy to the region’s electric grid since May.

Our scope of work included extensive earthwork, surfacing, landscape, drainage, concrete- as well as the completion of a 30’ Gabion Wall surrounding the plant. After inheriting this partially completed work from the previous owner and contractors, United Civil has worked collaboratively with Burns & McDonnell in a design-build relationship to complete the balance of the civil work.
